Sunday news
On Sunday evening the hospital called us. Lee Roy has been doing much, much better. The nurse said he was like a different baby from Friday. He has been eating a great deal, and they called to tell Eleve that he would be out of milk that day. The nurse also said that she thought he'd likely be coming home in the next couple of days. Of course she isn't the one in charge of releasing him. Basically his brain has to stabilize, meaning the fluid must not be building up. They were going to be doing an ultra sound to see if they can tell. I'm guessing that's a bit less tramatic on the baby because they don't have to starve him for 4 hours before the procedure. But it also isn't as accurate I'm guessing.
Anyway Eleve left for the hospital at 3:30am this morning so as to get there for his 5:30 am feeding. We are very hopeful.
Thank you everyone for your fasting and prayers.

Progress, more progress
Yesterday, Eleve came home: she was exhausted. Hospitals just aren't places to recharge and enjoy yourself. She had a bad go at it. Lee Roy's CT was delayed and he was upset because he couldn't feed. (If he spit up during the CT he'd down himself.) And as she was leaving to come home, she accidentally locked her keys in the car. Poor girl. Anyway they had a resident pick lock at the hospital, I guess that sort of things happens fairly often. And it didn't slow her down too much.
Eleve is doing much better being at home surrounded by her children. She recuperated a lot, and is much more positive this morning.
We called the hospital for a status today. He's doing very well. The CT showed that the fluid build up had reached an equalibrium, and had stablized. They didn't need to drain again. Also the size of his head hasn't changed in the last 3 days. Were hoping that he's on the upward climb again.
The nurse said they've taken out the feeding tube, and feeding him when he's hungry, which is about 2oz every 3 hours. This is wonderful news. The nurse also said that he's much more comfortable and that they've removed him from all IV feedings, and drugs. The only drug he is still taking is the seizure medicine, which is an oral drug.

Update
First a little update. Lee Roy is doing fine. They did another CT this morning and found the fluid is still building up, but there wasn't enough to drain. They are going to be keeping an eye on it. If it keeps building up they are going to put in a drain pipe. Other than that he's doing well.
My mother told me she was going to be doing a family fast this Sunday. I'd appreciate all those that join in.

More details
They drained the fluid again. And they will be doing another CT tomorrow to make sure that fluid doesn't continue to build up. If it does they will put a drip line in to make sure that it drains as needed.
Eleve said that Lee Roy is much more peaceful and took his full last feeding without spitting it up. So that's good.
